QUT BLUEBOX NEW INITIATIVE TO CONNECT RESEARCHERS WITH ENTREPRENEURS
QUT bluebox is pleased to announce an extension to the Launchpad mentoring program for 2018 Based on Steve Blank’s recognised Lean Launchpad process, Launchpad+ will connect QUT researchers with entrepreneurs and put them through an evidence based process to validate ideas for possible commercial development.
QUT bluebox CEO, Tim McLennan said this is a positive opportunity for QUT researchers as the R&D landscape pushed towards faster results.
“This is a progressive initiative that will foster mutual collaboration in research and development and can support the next generation of innovation,” Mr McLennan said.
Launchpad+ is set to launch in 2018 with QUT bluebox Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Dr Tim MacTaggart heading up the program.
“It’s a good opportunity to drive innovation and connect academics with entrepreneurs, “ Dr MacTaggart said.
“It’s a method that has been used worldwide and we certainly think can help QUT and QUT bluebox make a real impact.”
Launchpad+ will launch in early 2018 with applications open to the QUT community. More information to follow
