2019 ACCELERATOR TEAMS ANNOUNCED

Nine of QUT’s top innovations have been selected for the 2019 QUT bluebox Accelerator. Each startup will now have three months of mentoring to take their startup closer to market.
The 2019 QUT bluebox Accelerator startups are:

Trivago for dress hire - a fashion hire comparison platform. - Eventcipher — Bon Tin and Marie De Guzman
Cloud-based event planning platform that simplifies the planning process for organisers, suppliers and regulators. - Excite Science Communications — Dr Ken Dutton-Regester
Making science exciting through creative and memorable experiences. - Indirectory — Emma Patterson
A Tinder-like app to match wholesalers and retailers in lifestyle, fashion and gifts. - Kashy — Lachlan Palmer
Connecting customers and car mechanics for house call jobs. - Mkulima Young — Joseph Macharia
Online marketplace for small scale African farmers. - NewVote — Dion McCurdy
An independent, nonpartisan, for-purpose research institute and e-Governance start-up. - D-Tech AI — Tom Mishteler and Reef Stevens
Detection device to prevent children from drowning in swimming pools.
The accelerator is open to all startups with at least one QUT founder (student, staff or alumni).
