Description	Do you want to use your creativity and ingenuity to solve real world problems for real world companies? Come to the Robotics Ideas Jam! No robotics experience necessary - we are looking for a variety of skills. If you can think outside the box to solve problems, come along. Organisations such as Southbank Parklands, Brisbane Airport Corporation and more will present you with a current real problem. Your mission is to come up with ideas to solve this problem utilising one of SoftBank’s platforms. Open to all Queenslanders, the ideas jam will provide you with connections, experience, fun and give you opportunity to apply to the QUT bluebox Robotics Accelerator. Take your place in innovation! How does it work? Register yourself to attend. Come to the Ideas Jam on 3 July 2018. Listen to organisations describe the problems they need solved. In a team, work out an idea to solve the problem (Entrepreneurs in Residence will be on hand to help). Present the idea to an organisation – impress them with your genius. You may also use the idea from the day to apply to enter the Robotics Accelerator! The accelerator offers you and your team $15k to make your idea a reality, plus the opportunity to travel to Japan/U.S to connect with tech hubs! The day will be interactive and engaging. One week before the event, we will send you an information pack with a set of problems from each organisation along with information on each of SoftBank’s platform capabilities so you can start brainstorming. We will also provide you with all the materials you need so bring your ideas and any additional resources eg. laptops, tablets etc. Teams Each person attending the jam must apply as an individual. If you are registering as a team, all team members must still register individually and enter the team name when prompted. Otherwise, we will introduce you to other creative and brilliant people on the day so you can form a super dream team!
