Yotam Rosenbaum | ICT Entrepreneur in Residence

Yotam is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader. He is the co-founder of Earbits Radio, a music startup funded by top silicon valley investors, including Y-Combinator, Wordpress founder Matt Mullenweg, Charles River Ventures, and more. Four years after its inception, Earbits was acquired by a private company based in Atlanta.

With a background in music, Yotam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, in Boston. Later he relocated to Los Angeles where he worked as a composer, drummer, and band leader. He composed award winning music for film, TV, and commercials. Through his experience as a band leader Yotam and his band mate, Joey Flores, identified a huge need for better music marketing solutions. The first-time founder duo founded Earbits in 2010, empowering bands and record labels to bid for airtime and monetize the radio audience. By 2014, the company boasted more than 15,000 bands and 700 record labels, streaming 2 million songs per month to more than 300,000 registered users. The mobile apps, rated an average of 4+ stars, received more than 500,000 downloads. Following Earbits' acquisition, Yotam led the opening of the parent company's west coast office and managed all of west coast operations.

In 2017, Yotam took a role as COO with Answerky, another Y-Combinator company. Answerky was awarded the Hot DesQ grant from the Queensland Government, and as a result, relocated to Brisbane, Australia. Later that year Yotam joined QUT Bluebox as ICT Entrepreneur in Residence. Yotam and his wife are big fans of Brisbane and plan on have quickly made it their new home.
