Hugh Nalder - Chairman
Hugh Gordon Nalder was appointed as a non-executive director and chairman of qutbluebox on 2 May 2006. Hugh was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers from July 1986 until his retirement from the firm in February 2006, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Hugh is also a member of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Committee and the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.
Professor Arun Sharma - Director
Professor Arun Kumar Sharma is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Commercialisation) at the Queensland University of Technology. His current advisory roles include the Queensland Premier's Smart State Council and the ICT Sector Advisory Committee of CSIRO. Arun’s board memberships include Sugar Research Limited, Farmacule Bioindustries Pty Ltd, QMI Solutions, Diatech Pty Ltd, Icon.Net Pty Ltd and qutbluebox Pty Ltd. Arun is also a member of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Committee.
Dr Tony Evans - Director
Dr Tony Evans, formerly a Director of Coridon Pty Ltd, Dendright Pty Ltd, Promics Pty Ltd, QPharm Pty Ltd, and Spinifex Pty Ltd, is currently a Director of Biolayer Corporation (ASX-listed), and a Director of qutbluebox Pty Ltd. As the Chief Executive Officer and Director for Xenome Ltd, he raised AU$10.5 million from three venture capital groups leveraged with AU$3.2 million START Grant, and negotiated screening deals with US and European biotechnology companies. Tony is also a member of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.
Professor Tom Cochrane - Director
Professor Tom Cochrane is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology, Information and Learning Support) at the Queensland University of Technology. Tom’s external duties include Chair, Australian Libraries’ Copyright Committee; Director, Australian Digital Alliance; Director, Australian Partnership for Advanced Computing; and Director, Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation. He is the co-leader of the Creative Commons project for Australia, a member of the Australian Research Information Infrastructure Committee established by the Australian Government, and the Reference Group on Platforms for the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure, as well as other cross sectoral committees. Tom is also a member of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.
Andrew Loch - Director

Andrew is an experienced Chairman, Director and CEO, and has been involved with technology based ventures for over 20 years. He has successfully developed and implemented product and market strategies which have delivered innovative products to market and established valuable strategic alliances. He has a proven track record in technology innovation, product development and commercialisation within the pharmaceutical, medical device and ICT industries, having driven growth in a range of companies including Micromedical Industries Ltd (renamed to Ventracor), ActiveSky Inc and Glykoz Pty Ltd. Andrew has raised significant capital for technology based companies both by closing on investment capital and leveraging grant funding. Andrew is a member of Ausbiotech and the Australian Institute for Company Directors and is a Director of Glykoz Pharma Discovery Pty Ltd and Groundwater Treatment Solutions Ltd. Andrew is also Chairman of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Committee.
Stephen Denaro - Company secretary
Stephen has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, accountancy services, and income tax compliance gained from positions as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of various public companies, and with major chartered accountancy firms in Australia and the United Kingdom. He provides Company Secretarial services for a number of start-up technology companies.
